Sportstextiles Issue One 2026

The first issue of  Sportstextiles  magazine for 2026 is out now. Our in-depth, exclusive, innovation-focused features this time cover developments in membrane technologies and in solutions for odour-control. We also share the thoughts of adidas director Walter Wählt. He recognises the shortcomings of automation and AI and says he hopes to see new ideas at Techtextil and Texprocess in April. We also look at an initiative in Portugal to steer the country’s textile sector into the bioeconomy. This issue also has a review of the most recent edition of Milano Unica and a write-up of our conversation with adhesive technology start-up D-Glue. In Sustainability, we discuss lower-impact stretch fibres, as Lycra’s EcoMade reaches commercial volumes. Footwear Technology focuses on waste-saving insole developer Blumaka.
