Sale Sharks encourages fans to “get their kit off”

Rugby Union team Sale Sharks and its main sponsor UKFast have teamed up to offer fans a novel way of getting the new season shirt as well as supporting a worthwhile charity and winning signed Sharks merchandise.

'Get your kit off!' is a new initiative that allows fans to donate their old replica kits to charity in exchange for entry into a prize draw to win a new Sharks jersey signed by their favourite player. Fans are invited to bring their old shirts to the ground and hand them in when they purchase a new season shirt. They are then given an entry form for the prize draw.

The aim of the scheme is to add more value for Sharks fans while also benefiting good causes. The old shirts go to underprivileged sports enthusiasts in Romania through a charity called SOS Kit Aid for Romania.

"'Get your kit off’ is a brilliant way for fans to support the Sharks and other good causes this season,” comments Sale Sharks commercial director, Nathan Bombrys. “The new shirt represents a great new era for us and we want to celebrate its arrival with this very special prize."

The closing date to enter the prize draw is September 18, the night of the Sharks' second home game of the season against Bath Rugby.
