Heathcoat uses Coolmax for Spacetec collection
UK-based technical and protective textiles producer Heathcoat Fabrics is using Coolmax freshFX in its high-tech spacer fabrics. According to the company, the Advansa fabrics offer valuable evaporative cooling for members of the military and first-responders.
Heathcoat’s Spacetech fabrics are used as inner layers for body armour and other pieces of kit, for example rucksacks, and are designed to promote moisture transferral right through to the outer layer. Moisture is pulled away from the skin to the surface of the fabric and evaporates quickly to help maintain a balanced body temperature.
Not only does Coolmax freshFX help with this, it actively suppresses the growth of bacteria which can cause unpleasant body odour, to help the wearer feel cool, dry and fresh, even in extreme conditions.
