Marketing team changes for Amer in the US

Finnish sports clothing, footwear and equipment brand Amer Sports has announced changes to the management structure in its marketing department.

In the US, there will be a single marketing team for three of its main brands: Salomon, Suunto, and Atomic.

Amer Sports Winter and Outdoor Americas (ASWO) marketing director, Jean-Yves Couput, said the change meant his company would no longer try to drive the market by category or brand, but would instead be driven itself by customer demand.

Courtney Vermaas, previously Suunto USA marketing coordinator has been promoted to ASWO outdoor brand manager and will lead the US divisions of Salomon Outdoor (footwear, athletic outdoor apparel and Nordic), and Suunto.

At the same time, Jordan Judd, formerly marketing director at Atomic USA, adds sales director for Atomic USA to his title. Kathryn Smith will join as Atomic USA Alpine brand manager. Jenny Naftulin will continue as Salomon USA Alpine brand manager.
