Netherlands-based protective fabrics manufacturer TenCate has signed an agreement with Samil Spinning in Seoul, Korea, to become a TenCate Defender M partner. The partners have the objective of expanding the TenCate Defender M flame resistant (FR) product portfolio in the South Korean market.

Samil is already a supplier of non-FR fabrics to the South Korean military and says there is high interest in expanding this offering to include fabrics with FR properties.

Samil operates state-of-the-art spinning operations as well as dyeing and finishing facilities. It is already a partner of cellulosic fibre manufacturer Lenzing and will be able to make TenCate Defender M with Lenzing FR fibre the primary component of its offering.
