EOG makes communication appointment

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) has appointed Mathias Basedow as marketing and communications associate.

“The decision to appoint a full-time communications professional is the result of an increasing project workload. The appointment of Mathias will ensure that we have capacity to keep both the members and the industry up to date,” said the Swiss-based organisation’s general secretary, Mark Held, on announcing the appointment.
 
Mr Basedow previously worked for ski brand. Former EOG communications consultant Vanessa Knowles will stay on as part of the EOG team and guarantee a smooth handover of communication tasks, while starting to be involved in other projects including the restructuring of the Sustainability Working Group.
