17/05/2013
The company says colours other than blue have been tricky to achieve in the past but with the new affinity-free sulfide-free dyes, which have [environmental standard] bluesign 1 approval, it is simple to obtain jeans in a wide array of soft colours.
Clariant has also teamed up with machinery manufacturer Tonello to develop an exhaust dyeing process that combines the latest machine technology – G1 N2” – with Clariant’s non-indigo based Diresul RDT Indicolors dyeing system.
Clariant was one of the first companies to be awarded a European EU Ecolabel for its illustration collection of jeans in recognition of the sustainability benefits of Advanced Denim.
Premiere Vision Denim will be held in Paris from May 22 to 25.
