Around 360 exhibitors - 10% more than in 2012 - showcased their latest fabrics and collections at the three-day functional fabric event.
Highlights included Formotex, a high wet modulus rayon fibre by Taiwan-based Formosa Chemicals and Fibre, which also presented ultrafine nylon filaments, fibre grade PP pellets and a collagen rayon staple fibre.
Far Eastern New Century, whose recycled PET pellets are used by Coca-Cola, unveiled a cooling fibre, Bio-TopCool+, at the show.
Fabric King presented a washable LED lighting system textile and an actively heating system textile, while Eclat’s developments were centred around a ‘knit and stretch’ theme.
A total of 950 one-on-one business meetings were organised, a 12% increase on 2012.
“As we already see some light at the end of the economic tunnel, TITAS 2014 [October 15 to 17] is definitely an event worth looking forward to,” said organisers.
