Texworld success offers hope of a recovering textile industry

Messe Frankfurt France, organiser of the Texworld and Apparel Sourcing events in Paris in mid-February, has said it believes there signs of improvements in business performance in the textile industry and that the sector could be emerging from the global economic crisis that began in 2008.

Texworld and ApparelSourcing attracted 13,500 visitors in February 2014, an 11% increase on February 2013. These visitors came from 103 countries. Some exhibitors said the had sold more than 200,000 metres of materials by the end of the first day.
