Under Armour moves further into football with São Paulo deal

Under Armour has signed a multi-year technical sponsorship of São Paulo, Brazil’s most successful football club, as it continues to push its presence in the sport.

Beginning this May, the club’s first team and academy teams will be outfitted in Under Armour match-day kit and training wear.

“This partnership will further accelerate our expanding presence in football,” said Peter Murray, VP of brand and sports marketing at Under Armour.

“São Paulo has played a significant role in football becoming a cultural passion for Brazilians as well as spreading the flair and electric style of play that has become a symbol of the country’s everlasting impact on how the game is played on pitches all over the world.”
