OSV appeals to French companies to have their say on PFCs

French outdoor association Outdoor Sports Valley (OSV) is appealing to consumers, brands and manufacturers to take part in a consultation about textile coatings.

Launched in response to Greenpeace’s ‘Chemistry for Any Weather’ report, the survey has already had 1,200 responders from UK, Germany and the United States after being promoted by the Outdoor Industry Association and the European Outdoor Group, in collaboration with De Montfort University in the UK and the Association of German Sporting Good Industry (BSI).

OSV said: “Whether you are practicing a sport, are a user of breathable waterproof equipment or a professional directly involved in the manufacture of water repellent textile products, you can take part in the study and contribute the transition to greener, healthier products.”

The questionnaire - which looks at fluorinated chemicals (PFCs) in water repellent treatment (DWRs) - can be found, in French, on Survey Monkey.
