Mizuno USA aims for ‘next level’ with marketing hire

Mizuno USA has appointed Mark O'Brien as vice-president of brand marketing and management, reporting to Bob Puccini, director of Mizuno Corporation.

Mr Puccini said: "Mark's consumer-centric approach, in addition to his personal and professional background in sports, will enable him to help lead Mizuno to the next level."

Mr O'Brien's career started in sports marketing with the Texas-Louisiana Professional Baseball League, Houston Rockets and GMR Marketing and has since worked for MillerCoors, Johnsonville Sausage, HoneyBaked and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Mr O'Brien said: "The sporting goods industry is evolving as consumers' demands and needs are ever-changing. Opportunity is at a high to reach consumers in authentic, meaningful ways."
