Lenzing’s FR fibre offers protection and comfort

Its FR concept is being presented at fire-clothing fair Interschutz, and can protect firefighters from heat stress as a result of heat accumulation. It could be particularly useful for head and hand protectors, it says, where better sweat transportation is necessary.
The Austrian company claims that compared with commonly used protective clothing, second and third degree burns can be reduced by up to 30% with Lenzing FR.
