Sustainia100 names top textile innovations
Authors of the 2015 Sustainia100 study have chosen 100 developments from 1,500 companies across six sectors that they say represent a “paradigm shift in eco-innovation”.

From the fashion industry, they picked out Patagonia’s yulex wetsuit, Aquafil’s yarn recycling system, Econyl; Dyecoo’s waterless, CO2 dyeing process; the Sustainable Apparel Coalition’s Higg Index; and Dutch aWEARness’ closed-loop manufacturing for workwear. They also highlighted a Levis and World Bank programme to incentivise supply chain investment.

Based in Copenhagen, Sustainia is a sustainability think tank working to scale the deployment of innovative solutions.
