Schoeller focuses on cork for upcoming collections
Swiss textile maker Schoeller has put together its collections for autumn/winter 2016 and summer 2017, both of which rely heavily on natural materials such as cork.
With the Corkshell technology, Schoeller has combined the properties of cork with those of premium functional textiles, such as synthetic fabrics in a melange wool-look with smooth, colour-contrasting reverse, or on the reverse of the sporty Schoeller shape piqué cotton fabric.
Corkshell offers natural insulation, high breathability and comfort.
Another highlight is the combination of matte and shiny surfaces, such as the shape cotton-satin fabric with a wet sheen and a smooth surface.
Inspiration for hybrid ideas is also illustrated by the Schoeller-spirit spacer and mesh three-dimensional fabrics (pictured).
