Nike settles FuelBand court case

30/07/2015

Nike and Apple have settled a court case which alleged claims about the Nike+ FuelBand were misleading.

The claims alleged there had been false or misleading statements about the wristband’s ability to track calorie and steps.

The band uses an accelerometer to track physical activity, measure NikeFuel and tell the time.
Nike and Apple deny the claims in the lawsuit and maintain that they did nothing wrong or illegal and the court has not decided which side is right.

Customers who purchased the band - which was discontinued in April - could qualify for a $15 refund or a $25 gift card, which they can claim via special website.
