Invista has been recognised for “environmental excellence” for its facility in Foshan, China. 
The plant, which produces spandex for swimwear and sportswear, sets annual targets for energy savings and “optimises production processes”.

“The Foshan site has been operating since 2006, was expanded in 2011, and enjoys a reputation as a reliable supplier to the apparel and textile industry,” said Julien Born, Invista’s eastern region executive vice-president.

The awards programme is organised by the Foshan Media Group,  Foshan Environmental Protection Bureau and various industry associations, and recognises corporate environmental responsibility.
