Laminate maker Sympatex will present its developments for footwear at the Lineapelle leather show in Italy this week.

The German company will showcase “laminated knitted legs”, which are waterproof and windproof as well as breathable due to the membrane.

The seamless leg is taped with just one seam to the heel. 

Outdoor brands VAUDE, Deeluxe (winter sports) and workwear company Rock Fall  have recently chosen Sympatex’s Moisture-tech for shoe ranges as moisture is kept away from the lining by an outward suction effect.

Lineapelle takes place in Milan from September 9 to 11.
