Lululemon eliminates chief product officer role in organisational shake-up

Yoga brand lululemon has eliminated its chief product officer role and replaced it with creative director, a position which will be taken up by Lee Holman, formerly senior vice-president of the women’s business.

Tara Poseley, who joined the company in October 2013 as chief product pfficer, will be leaving after a transition period.

Lululemon's CEO, Laurent Potdevin, said: "Standing out requires a fierce commitment to constant innovation in functional performance. Changes to the organisational structure, including the new role of creative director, are critical to executing upon our 10-year vision.

"We greatly appreciate Tara's contributions, including the build-out of strong product, innovation and merchandising teams, and we wish her continued success in the future.”

Mr Holman joined Lululemon last year. He was previously creative director of Nike Sportswear.

Other changes include the promotion of Dr Tom Waller to senior vice-president of Whitespace, Lululemon's team of “scientists and engineers”.

The Canadian company has also begun a search for a chief supply chain officer, a new position.
