Taiwan’s Eclat eyes opportunity in TPP

Taiwanese sportswear supplier Eclat is investing $50 million to upgrade its factories in Vietnam following the signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Local press have reported $40 million will go to a factory in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province and $10.5 million to a plant in Dong Nai Province to boost production to five million pieces of clothing per month.
Elcat supplies a number of big sports brands including Lululemon, adidas and Nike.
