US-based compression brand Zensah has teamed up with technology firm Vert to incorporate sensors into its leg sleeves, socks, knee sleeve, tops and sports bras.

Each product uses graduated compression, 3D ribbing for targeted muscle support and a fabric that features silver ions and moisture wicking control.

Martin Matak, founder and president of VERT, said: "We have already seen real-time jump measurements contribute to athletic safety with jump count data, but with the addition of intensity measurements in smart apparel, VERT2 will help prevent injuries to athletes and inform users of important information for recovery as well."
