Woolmark Company opens new resource centre in Hong Kong

Marketing and research body The Woolmark Company has opened a new resource centre in Hong Kong, designating it “a global hub for all things wool” and a source of “new opportunities for Hong Kong’s textile industry”.

The facility will provide market intelligence, sourcing information for woolgrowers, spinners, knitters, retailers, designers, students and garment makers, and details of technical innovations. The Woolmark Company will also host seminars and training workshops there “for anyone who is passionate about understanding the unrivalled properties of wool”.

As well as local textile professionals, the Woolmark Company pointed out on making the announcement that representatives of many global brands travel frequently to Hong Kong for sourcing trips making the city an ideal location for the resource centre.
