Intertextile Shanghai to reveal trends under three themes

Overseas and domestic trends for Autumn/Winter 2017-18 will be revealed at six Trend Forums. The trends will fall under three themes: Enigmatic, Manifesto and Eccentric.
Messe Frankfurt, organiser of the event, said the Enigmatic theme “is based on the blurring delineation between what is considered masculine and what is feminine”. This will feature warm neutral tones, frosted pastel accents and metallic touches.
Manifesto focuses on “authenticity and nostalgia”. It combines industrial inspiration with a sustainable mentality and will feature deeps and pop shades.
As the name suggests, the Eccentric theme will be based around originality. It will include “historic, antique and ’70s references” with unusual colour combinations featuring heavily.
Alongside the Trend Forums will be a series of panel discussion to discuss the most important issue facing the industry. WSA will moderate a discussion on sportswear trends and innovations.
