French company announces new footwear material

French materials science developer Chamatex has announced “a major innovation” that it says will benefit footwear designers, especially those focused on sports and leisure brands.

The development is a high-performance material it has called Matryx, which will offer high levels of resistance, breathability and support, as well as being lightweight, according to Chamatex.
