Support for Responsible Wool Standard grows

03/10/2016
Fifteen apparel brands, including Deckers, Vaude and Patagonia, have now committed to the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS).

The announcement was made by the Textile Exchange, who worked alongside retailer H&M to develop the standard. It aims to set a global benchmark for animal welfare and land management practices in sheep farming.

Ten other companies, including Arc’teryx, Nau and PrAna have committed to implementing better supply chain practices. Several global wool suppliers, such as ABMT Textiles, New Merino Australia and Ovis 21, have signed the RWS.
