Arkema announces fluoropolymer production expansion in China

Chemicals manufacturer Arkema is to increase by 25% production capacity of its Kynar polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) fluoropolymer at its Changshu platform near Shanghai.

According to Arkema, there is strong demand for the product and the expansion will support its ambition to speed up growth of its high-performance materials division. It doubled its initial Kynar production capacity in Changshu in 2012.
