New Balance committed to the UK

Rod DeMartini says the future of New Balance’s factory in Flimby, Cumbria, which employs more than 240 people, is secure. Its European headquarters are based in Warrington in North West England and provide jobs to a further 160 people.
"We're not going anywhere. We have a big business here, we have a long-standing commitment to manufacturing in the UK, that will continue. We won't be pushed out or scared out by regulation or economic factors,” he said.
Earlier this year, New Balance secured a deal to become the official kit supplier of English Premier League football team Liverpool Football Club. It will also take over the kit sponsorship of the England cricket team next year.
The company opened a flagship retail store on London’s Oxford Street at the end of October. Mr DeMartini says the UK is one of New Balance’s “largest growing markets”.
