Adidas unveils Parley Ocean Plastic swim range

01/02/2017
Sports brand adidas has unveiled its spring-summer 2017 Parley swim range, made from Parley Ocean Plastic and featuring up-cycled ocean plastic made from used fishing nets and debris intercepted in coastal areas. The material is converted into technical yarn fibres such as Econyl, a recycled polyamide yarn produced by Italian yarn company Aquafil.

The adidas Parley swim collection has two distinct designs: a wave print that references the source of its fabric, and a Parley inspired graphic. Both have adidas’s proprietary Infinitex+ Pulse finish and flat lock seams, enabling the range to be 100% chlorine resistant without compromising on comfort.

At present, 50% of all adidas swim apparel is made from recycled material.
