The partnership aims to give apparel and footwear designers access to durable performance fabrics that incorporate sustainable materials.
“At the core of our brand’s DNA is a dedication to delivering durable next generation fabric technologies,” said Cindy McNaull, Cordura’s global brand and marketing director. “We constantly look at ways to increase the utility and durability of our products and ways we can benefit the environment.”
Laurie Kronenberg, global marketing director for DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products, added that the companies are hoping to combine their expertise to “revolutionise the use of sustainable textiles”.
She revealed that DuPont Tate and Lyle’s Susterra propanediol based membranes and coatings would be part of the project and would be combined with Cordura’s durable fabrics.
