Lane Crawford collections showcase versatility of merino wool

Asian luxury good department store Lane Crawford has collaborated with The Woolmark Company to develop two wool-rich athleisure capsule collections.

The collections, which have been created by designers Helen Lee and Particle Fever, will be sold in Lane Crawford stores in China and Hong Kong.

"These capsules incorporate merino wool into innovative and technical athleisure pieces that showcase the versatility of the sustainable fibre and its importance to the future of fashion,” said Joanna Gunn, chief brand officer for Lane Crawford. 

Ms Lee, who designed one the collections, said working on this project had “completely changed” her perception of wool. She explained that she wasn’t previously aware of its lightweight and breathable qualities.

Woolmark said this collaboration is the start of a two-year strategic partnership with Lane Crawford. It will see a number of designers develop collections that have merino wool as a major component.
