Surf Expo curtailed due to Hurricane Irma
Organisers of the Florida-based Surf Expo have said they will cut the show short following warnings about Hurricane Irma.

The most powerful storm recorded over the Atlantic ocean has hit the Caribbean and is headed towards the US mainland.

Surf Expo will be open for business as planned on September 7 with a revised schedule, and close at 5pm on September 8.

They said: “With your best interest in mind, the Surf Expo leadership has been working continuously with the Orange County Convention Center management and with local authorities. Every conversation we have and each decision we make starts and ends with our unwavering commitment to our exhibitors, partners and attendees. We believe this to best course of action.”

The show features more than 2,500 booths of apparel and hardgoods and events including fashion shows, awards ceremonies and demos. Average turnout exceeds 28,600 per show.
