HeiQ applies finishing technology to triathlon suit
Swiss textile technology provider HeiQ has helped to develop a special suit for a group of athletes competing on behalf of a charity in a triathlon event on the island of Jersey, a crown dependency of the UK.

They were representing the MaccaNow Foundation, a charity that raises money for athletes who are fighting cancer. They competed in the latest leg of the Super League, a new fast-paced triathlon format.

HeiQ developed their race suit alongside Italian fabric manufacturer Tessitura Taiana. It employs a special woven structure from Taiana that provides a stretch fabric with a better balance of weight and compression.

HeiQ’s finishing technology was applied to allow for quick drying. It also offers better aerodynamic properties as smooths the surface of the yarn, reducing friction. The suits were tailored to the needs of each individual wearer.
