2XU plans to open 50 stores in China
Compression clothing brand 2XU is aiming to increase its presence in Asia after signing an agreement with Chinese fashion retailer GXG.

The joint venture will make the brand’s compression products widely available to Chinese consumers. It plans to open up to 50 retail stores in mainland China over the next three years, as well as boosting its online and wholesale presence in the country.

The brand will also design apparel lines exclusively for the Chinese market.

The chief executive of 2XU, Paul Higgins, described the partnership with GXG as “a real milestone” and said it marks “another exciting chapter” for the company.

2XU opened its first store in Melbourne, Australia in 2005. It now operates 26 retail and outlet stores in Australia and 34 retail stores overseas. It is also present in more than 4,000 wholesale locations, including in Hong Kong and Singapore.
