Thule boosts production capacity with new facility

Swedish outdoor group Thule has opened a new facility in the town of Pila in western Poland, which will help it to increase production capacity for existing products as well as giving it the option to bring the production of some newer product categories in-house. 

Currently, products in newer categories are largely manufactured by subcontractors. 

At the opening of the new site, Thule CEO, Magnus Welander, said: "With our new assembly plant, we will significantly increase both capacity and flexibility in the production of a number of traditional Thule products in the category Sport&Cargo Carriers.”
