ZDHC now has 10 approved chemical conformance standards

The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Foundation has added two more organisations to its list of accepted certification standards for conformance to its Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL).

It brings the total number of approved chemical conformance standards to 10.

Certification body Control Union, which played an important role in the development of the Responsible Down Standard (RDS), has become the first organisation able to certify chemical products on all three conformance levels.

Independent testing and certification group NSF, which specialises in services for products in the food, water, health sciences and consumer goods industries, is now accepted to certify chemical products for Level 1 conformance.

Chemical suppliers can use the services offered by Control Union and NSF to indicate conformance of their products to the ZDHC MRSL on the ZDHC Gateway Chemical Module.
