Lenzing to boost production capacity for Tencel Luxe filament

The company unveiled Tencel Luxe in October 2017. It marked Lenzing’s first foray into the filament market.
The decision to build a new production line at its site in Lenzing, Austria has been prompted by strong demand for this filament. Lenzing has said capacity will be “significantly expanded” as a result, with construction of the new facility already underway.
“Demand is already so high that we have decided to take an intermediate step to expand capacities before building a large commercial production plant,” said Stefan Doboczky, CEO of Lenzing. “The decision to construct a new line will serve as the basis for generating a three-fold increase in capacity compared to the previous volume. The additional capacity will be available to customers at the end of next year.”
