EOCA applauds 2018 Conservation Champions

12/07/2018
The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) has named hammock maker Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO) and portable drinks container specialist Stanley as its 2018 Conservation Champions.

It awards this title to members that have “gone the extra mile” to support conservation.

ENO was the first EOCA member to custom design an EOCA-specific product for retail sale. The product in question was a hammock in EOCA’s colours. It was launched during the OutDoor exhibition in 2017 and has since been sold across Europe. A percentage of each sale goes to supporting conservation products around the world.

EOCA described Stanley as “an active and innovative supporter” of conservation. Over the past three years, it has made and donated hundreds of customised products to raise funds, including insulated mugs and bottles features the EOCA logo or the logo of a specific project. These have been sold at the OutDoor and ISPO exhibitions.

Catherine Savidge, Joint General Manager of EOCA said, “the Conservation Champion Award is about recognising member companies large and small, who benefit conservation through EOCA with creative and forward-thinking initiatives. We are proud to work with these two companies, who have both successfully raised awareness of EOCA and additional funds for conservation through their passion and responsibility for the great outdoors.”
