ZDHC adds to chemical conformance partners

The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Programme has announced that German inspection service specialist TÜV Rheinland is the latest organisation to be added to its list of accepted certification standards for conformance to its Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL).

TÜV Rheinland is now an accepted certifier for level 1 conformance of chemicals to the ZDHC MRSL on the ZDHC Gateway Chemical Module. 

“Receiving ZDHC approval for our MRSL Testing program marks a milestone for TÜV Rheinland and for our customers,” said Mohammed Dkhissi, the testing group’s vice president for softlines and key accounts. “It opens the door to lucrative yet increasingly regulated markets for both manufacturers and users of chemical formulations in the textile and leather industry, by ensuring dyestuffs, pigments and auxiliaries are ZDHC MRSL-compliant.”

TÜV Rheinland was named as training partner for the ZDHC Academy in September 2017.
