Brands sign up to use PrimaLoft’s Cross Core products

It unveiled Cross Core at the end of 2017. To develop it, the company combined its synthetic insulation fibres with aerogel fibres that were originally developed by NASA for aeronautical applications. Its highly porous, low-density structure forms a barrier that locks out cold and heat.
Outdoor brand LL Bean was the first to use Primaloft’s Gold Insulation with Cross Core technology. It applied it to its Ultralight Aero Sleeping Bag and to PrimaLoft’s Packaway line of coats, jackets and vests from spring 2018.
PrimaLoft has since developed additional products, including Gold Insulation Hi-Loft Ultra with Cross Core technology and the loose fill PrimaLoft Silver Insulation ThermoPlume with Cross Core technology.
Among the brands that will use these products in their collections are: adidas originals, Black Diamond, Dynafit, La Sportiiva, Mountain Hardwear, Norröna, Peak Performance and Quiksilver.
