Socks that celebrate the Pyrenees

Pyrenean sock brand Lorpen has stepped up its social media presence by adding new YouTube and Instagram channels to its presence on Twitter and Facebook. The company, which is part of the Ternua group, has said it will use the new channels to reinforce its main message about Lorpen socks: that they are “engineered in the Pyrenees”.

Videos it has produced show the area around the Lorpen factory, which is in the Navarrese village of Etxalar. It is a place of great natural beauty, Lorpen has said, and, with the Pyrenees on its doorstep, an ideal testing ground for its socks too.

The brand has developed proprietary layering technology that it calls T3, which consists of a construction that uses strategically placed threads, combining natural and synthetic fibres, to provide wearers with protection and comfort in hot and cold conditions.

It says this makes its socks ideally suited to outdoor activities, especially skiing and mountaineering.
