Growth goes on for Li Ning

Chinese sports group Li Ning achieved full-year revenues for 2018 of more than $1.5 billion (at current exchange rates), an increase of 18.5% compared to the group’s figures for 2017.

Gross profit for 2018 was more than $750 million, an increase year on year of 21.1%.

Apparel accounted for just over 50% of Li Ning’s revenues, while footwear’s share was 43.8%. Equipment and accessories contributed the rest. Each of these segments grew year on year, by 26.7%, 10.6% and 13.4% respectively.

In 2017, sales of footwear and apparel were almost on a par for Li Ning, but in 2018 apparel took a strong lead.
