New facility to boost Arkema’s biosourced polyamide capacity

It will help the company to increase its global production capacity for this material by 50%. It has said this will go towards supporting strong demand from its customers in Asia for high-performance, biosourced resins. The applications for Rilsan polyamide 11 include in 3D printing.
“This major investment bolsters our global presence in biosourced materials while bringing us significantly closer to our customers in Asia. Singapore’s industrial and innovation-friendly environment is, we believe, a key asset for our project,” said Erwoan Pezron, global group president for Arkema’s technical polymers business line.
Construction of the plant in Singapore is expected to be completed by late-2021.
