Sympatex plugs sustainability at ISPO
The latest project from the wear2wear European industry partnership is an upcycled functional jacket made from 30% recycled used textiles and 70% PET bottles, to be introduced at ISPO by Sympatex and Schoeller Textiles.

Called the rEvolution Hybrid, the triple-layer, high-performance jacket was developed and produced in collaboration with wear2wear partners, which now includes nine core members and three technology partners.

Sympatex will be unveiling a campaign in conjunction with the launch, called “Circularity is in our DNA. Born to shape our future.” According to the company, the campaign — in which parents cradle therecycled functional jacket as if it were their newborn (pictured) — aims to “sensitise the industry and consumers to the fact that sustainably-produced, recycled and climate-neutral apparel can be acquired today without having to sacrifice performance".

While at ISPO, Sympatex will also distribute a new edition of the company’s Sam children’s booklet. Previous editions have included “Sam and the Plastic Plan” and “Sam and the Climate Plan”; the third edition, called “Long Live the King’s Jacket”, focuses on functional textile durability.
