Techtera praises French textiles companies’ speedy response
A director of French technical textiles cluster Techtera has praised the speed at which the textiles sector in the country, which is “very fragmented”, was able to build a logistics network, create patterns and templates, and modify production in less than a month.
A structure was put in place to link materials suppliers and manufacturers of masks and gowns to supply to hospitals, as the coronavirus spreads across the country and the globe.
Corinne Farace said many other industrial sectors are at a standstill.
She added: “It will be necessary to rebound at the end of the crisis.
“We strive not only to support businesses on a daily basis, but we are also preparing for the future by maintaining our activity on collaborative innovation.”
