Acquisition by Head is “start of a new era” for Zoggs

Global sporting goods group Head has acquired swimwear and accessories brand Zoggs; the two will merge into a combined swimming business led by current Zoggs CEO Mark Hammersley 

Head, which is established in winter and racquet sports with brands Head, Penn and Mares, said it has in recent years been growing its position as a performance swim brand. In the medium term, its goal is to strengthen the Zoggs brand with an extended product portfolio and by expanding global distribution. The merger will allow Zoggs access to welded race suits, open water neoprene wetsuits, liquid silicone goggle ranges and swim training accessories.

Gerald Skrobanek, Head’s chief operating officer, called the opportunity “the start of a new era for Zoggs".
