‘Solid show’ for PV, despite China’s absence

Fabric trade show Premiere Vision in Paris has reported a “solid showing” for its February event, despite the absence of Chinese due to the coronavirus-related travel ban.

It said visitor numbers dipped about 20% to 45,000, who viewed the collections from 1,700 companies for spring-summer 2021 season.

Around 45 Chinese exhitbitors were unable to attend what it described as a “quite particular edition”.

Organisers said: “Attendees voiced their approval for an event rich in inspirations, experiences and expert and strategic talks on the sector’s key issues, including eco-responsibility, technologies, societal changes, unique know-hows and more.”
