OR announces finalists for inspiration awards
Finalists for Outdoor Retailer’s tenth annual Inspiration Awards have been released, recognising “those making an impact and inspiring others to enjoy, participate in and support outdoor recreation”. Winners will be announced during a free online ceremony on July 22.
The awards, determined by a panel of 13 judges, are given in six categories, one of which is new this year. Finalists include Teresa Baker, Faith E. Briggs and Tracy Nguyen-Chung for best Individual; BioLite, Orvis, Outdoor Research and Smartwool in manufacturing; College Outside, Moosejaw and Outdoor Gear Exchange for retail; Adaptive Adventures, Greening Youth Foundation, No Barriers and Women’s Wilderness in the nonprofit category; Aida Frey and Tatianna Butte for most inspirational youth; and 57hours, AfterShokz, Igloo and Superfeet are up for the new #weareCommunity award.
“The finalists for this year’s Outdoor Retailer Inspiration Awards are truly inspiring and are leading others to outdoor recreation while also enabling them to be their best,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer senior vice president and show director. “The judging panel faced a difficult task in narrowing down an extraordinary group of nominees.”
