Anta Olympic sportswear features Chinese flag for first time
Chinese sports group Anta Sports has released a collection of licensed sportswear for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. At the Shanghai launch, Anta revealed that several items featured China’s flag — the first time the brand has been granted permission to do so on apparel for the general public.
Anta executive director Zheng Jie told Chinese media that the company hoped the clothing featuring the national flag would allow consumers to express the “Chinese personality” and demonstrate the public’s enthusiasm for the winter games.
The sports brand has been the official apparel partner for Beijing 2022 since being appointed in 2017 and is an official uniform supplier for the International Olympic Committee until the end of 2022.
