Sustainable focus helps Ecoalf weather covid-19
The founder of sustainability-focused clothing brand Ecoalf, Javier Goyeneche, has said the company will achieve growth in 2020, in spite of the covid-19 pandemic.
Madrid-based Ecoalf is on target to achieve revenues of €25 million in 2020, Mr Goyeneche said in recent comments to business newspaper Expansión. This would represent growth of 78.5% compared to 2019. Mr Goyeneche said revenue growth would have been even higher had it not been for the pandemic.
Ecoalf, which has own-brand stores in Madrid, Barcelona, Berlin and Tokyo and major retail partners in other markets, specialises in using recycled polyester, some of which comes from ocean waste.
