Footwear technology provider Carbitex, the company behind the flexible carbon fibre material in use in running shoes such as the adizero Pro (pictured) and the X Ghosted from Adidas, made two executive appointments at the start of 2021.

Erika Canfield is Carbitex’s new vice-president for global marketing, joining from PMI Worldwide.

Carbitex also has a new director of global footwear business development, Clark Morgan. Mr Morgan joins the company from BOA Technology, where he drove prototyping and innovation of the BOA Fit System. 

With 11 footwear brands as partners now, Carbitex has also announced investment in new machinery to scale up and speed up production of its technology.
